We had a friend (Pandora) over who is also quite interested in ghosts. She was getting ready to leave and suggested that I snap a few pics before she left, because I always seem to get good ghost photos in this house.

Simultaneously, as I was pressing the button to take this pic, I saw (through the viewfinder) what looked like a little lightning bolt zip from the ceiling downward, making a slight turn to the left, near the bottom of its decent. The orb moved from top to bottom and even made the slightest pause in movement before it made the turn. The size of the orb, to my eye - looking through the viewfinder, was actually very small as compared to what shows up in the photo. I'd say it was apprximately 1/8"-1/4" in diameter; it's difficult to put an exact size on it because it was moving extremely fast, as well as I was looking through the viewfinder.

I could scarcely believe my eyes!! Excitedly, I asked if the other three people in the room had seen this ‘lightning bolt’ as well, but unfortunately, they had their heads turned in another direction while talking. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised to capture such a magnificent moving orb, with such great detail, since all I had originally seen was a tiny streak of light while taking the pic.

This isn't dust, moisture or a bug, folks!
