Footprints in the Carpet

I was vacuuming the house today and as I was cleaning down the hall I vacuumed all the way to the end wall and while there I felt really cool air. Now it's pretty warm here in Arizona today so I thought how nice to find a cool spot in the house and that the air conditioning must have just turned on. I vacuumed as I backed away and immediately took a left into the office and started to clean the carpet there. As I backed out of the office I turned toward the end of the hall again where I had just vacuumed and saw footprints in the fresh carpet. And I know I didn't make them because they were in a spot I would have put myself into in order to clean the rug. I clean toward the wall not away from it! Hmmm.
