Anderson College: Sullivan Music Building
Submitted by: Stacey Girardeau
I read the comment on your home page regarding the haunting at Sullivan Music Building on the Anderson College campus. I was a student at AC from 1990 until 1994. The building was Sullivan Music Building in the years prior to 1994 but was renovated and renamed Sullivan Building once the music department was moved to the new Daniel Recital Hall and fine arts addition.

I had experience with the ghost we all called Anna due to the research that us music students conducted on the history of the college and that building in particular. She faked a suicide to get the attention of her father who did not believe in her relationship with a young man who was of a different religion. They had a fight and her father, who was the president at the time, removed her engagement ring and tossed it through the building. She then faked her suicide but subsequently ended up dying in the process. She would play tricks on us and all of the music professors I had would tell us of their encounters with her as well. I had several encounters with her in the music theory room as well as the recording studio in the Sullivan Music Building. She liked the stair case quite a bit as well as the choir room, which was an addition in the years prior to 1990.
