I and another girl Sandra, were taking catechism from a Mother Luke, who had an office which ran off a wide corridor.

In the corridor were doorways some which led to the quadrangle which were locked at 5pm each day. There were two approx. 7ft fences fronting the street, with buildings in a U shape.

On leaving Mother Luke's office down a small passage leading into the large corridor, we were facing one of the locked outside doors, part of which was opaque glass, we noticed smoke rising on the outside of the glass, greyish white, it was probable 2-3ft on the other side of door, then it quivered forward and at the same time took a definate form of a lady in a pale blue veil, who then looked through the glass at us; we were terrified and screamed, and the figure floated backwards.

In the meantime, Mother Luke came rushing out of her office, as we relayed what had happened, she had her key already opening the door to the quadrangle and ran around shining her torch. No one was there, she took us back to her office to calm us down as we were too frightened to go past the door again, meanwhile she relayed a story about when she was running late for prayers one night and decided to take a short cut through quadrangle and something touched her on the shoulder and asked her to pray for them, she said she bolted for the church

The nuns of the order wore black habits. We actually witnessed smoke take the form of a small lady in palest of blue. I have never gone public with this information till just recently. This was 45 years ago, and would dearly like to establish contact with the other girl who witnessed this also.
