Ingredients:
Hoisin Sauce
Vietnamese Garlic Chili Sauce (green cap with chicken on front)
Sambal Olek can be substituted here= a little different, same company.
Garlic Black Bean Paste
Ground Ginger
Black Sesame Oil
Rice Wine Vinegar
This sauce is a mix and match that is pretty much up to your taste. Hoisin sauce and the garlic chili sauce (very very HOT!) are really thre main ingredients and can be used without the other stuff. You will use more hoisin than the chili sauce - think of it as oriental ketchup here.
Mix these to your taste then add the rest - a little bean paste, a little ginger.
Then the liquids go in to loosen it up - sesame oil and vinegar to taste.
